Cecco Mariniello has been an illustrator and cartoonist for nearly thirty years. He collaborated with newspapers and magazines in Italy and France (Le Monde, La Stampa, La Repubblica, Il Paese Sera) and is one of the most well known Italian illustrators for children books. He worked, often as author and illustrator, with almost all Italian publishers who have collections for children and with several foreign publishers (in England, France, the United States and Taiwan).  He received many prices and his works have been selected for numerous displays and have participated in several exhibits in Italy and abroad. Whenever he can and more and more often he paints with oil on canvas and with watercolor (or acrylic) on paper. His works have been exhibited by the “Materia crea” Gallery in Greve in Chianti in 2002, by the “Nuages” Gallery in Milan in 2004, by the “Moulerie” Gallery-Café in Montreal in 2005, by the Gallery of the Italian Institute of Culture in Montreal in 2006 and by Babel Gallery in Florence in 2007.
